LAST DAY
Today is the last day. we woke up and packed up and did inventory. we also ate breakfast again! it was good. We went to the wellness shelter to blog in which we are doing right now. if youre wondering about the pictures, I will be uploading a video at the end of the day. stay tuned. I will update this more for we still have the other part of the day
day 13
today is my last day sleeping in my tent with jay. my last dinner with them. the last time looking at the stars without worrying about social media, about drama, about anything. Although I miss my siblings I will really miss these new found friends. today we went to kimika butte to go hiking. I really love hiking. hiking I think is the most efficient way to lose weight while having fun for me. It works out the calf's and the abs at the same time. And if youre doing it properly then u have to move your arms. I also love hiking to look out at the view. the views are my favorite parts. I am not afraid of heights as much I used to be. I'm over a lot of my fears for right now. when we were hiking I was with my friend but she slowed down, I remained my pace and was the second one to the top. the first one to the top was Christy. third was Joel, but he has longer legs so. I then waited for jay to get to the top. Want long, we then took pictures and looked at the view. the view was nice but all I seen was fields and a couple houses, it was time to walk back down me and jay decided to run down. we finished 3 and 4 to the bottom. we then went to go shower at the wellness shelter. I really like it, they have everything. everything I like basically. me and jay were finally cleaned and looked nice. jay plucked my eyebrows. I was scared on how they turned out. but they turned out decent, at least its more tamed then last time. we the took an hour drive to watch the powwow. julymash, the biggest outdoor powwow in the north west! they really know white swan and we got mentioned a lot. there were a lot or" cheapose" (white people- Caucasian-). but I like they respected the culture of someone else and their own. we only got to stay for grand entry. which started at 7pm. we were going to leave exactly at seven but Jessica made a exception to wait until grand enter. I really wish we stayed to at least watch some traditional. I really miss dancing. I want to get back into it. we then left and had a 30 minute ride to camp, we ate Indian tacos and breakfast for dinner.

day 12
This day we woke up at 7 AM. we went to go shower at the wellness shelter. they have nice showers. we went back to camp to eat lunch. we then traveled to the casino which monaes grandpa owns. her uncle and uncle spoke to us about how were connected to the land and animals and we need to take care of the earth. we then went back to the wellness shelter and started t blog. that's it . I STILL DID NOT SEE ZAVIER !!!!!!!!!! I MISS HIM he reminds me so much of my siblings I miss them like crazy
day 11
Today is the day that we leave. I do not want to leave though! I had so much fun visiting with warren and his three little interns. Kyle, Ethan and Xzavier. If you're reading this sorry but Ethan was my favorite. Kyle was the one who talked the most and really answered our questions, but very secretive or something. I don't really expect him to tell all of us but that's fine because we barely met. Xzavier was the "to himself" one. He talked a little but not as much as Kyle. But I learned that they all play basketball and the run a lot. They're in XC, cross-country and Warren was their coach. I woke up packed my things, put down my tent and waited for a couple of hours. Iam very glad that Warren and all of them came to visit. when the guys first got here I was thinking "why are they here? Are the lost?". Nope not lost. today was a travel day so nothing really happened. When we got to the camping ground we ate at a feast for a ceremony. someone was getting a canoe so I got to experience that. I also never tried moss before, I know that Yakamas used to eat it but their is not a lot of suppliers/ gatherers to get them. For some weird reason I wanted to cry, I didn't though. I cherished the moment. after eating I met this little boy named Zander. Zander and I first met when I was shooting basketball and he came up to me. He told me that his Yaya was in the bathroom so I walked with him. His mom came out and said "Oh you weirdo" to her son. Zander and I continued to play Monsters! until he had to leave. He is so adorable and nice. I cant wait to see him tomorrow!
DAY 10
Today we went to the fisheries hatcheries. This was more of a learning day. Tim Peone help start the factoriey with others. In 1980 The Roosevelt damn still had fish that weighed 78 pounds. Once the damns were built the damns were blocking fish but not killing fish. But he said some were killed by winding up in the trubines and getting scared. Spokane Tribal Hatchery is a project to help bring back sal,mon and fish or help other in between the Spokane tribe, Colville confederate tribes, Bonneville Power Administration and Washington department of wildlife. This year the Spokane fishing hatcherys want to release at lwast 75 thousand fish. When we visited the hatchery as a group I liked how they had a mural on the inside that included 21 fish. I tried to find all of them but I oculd not. As a group we walked through the factory. Inside there were long tub like containers that contained 6,000 baby fishes! The guy who was leading us fed the fish and the started to jump, for some reason it really relaxed me. Oddly satisfying. I forgot what day it was but Warren showed us a house pit. it got me mad/sad when there was a "R" on the front door. He said "now this you'll know how racism is still very alive. other than the fishing hatchery we went connoting! I've been waiting to do that for a while. me Lisa and sardonic went on and we were the last to leave but that's fine. we wanted to attack the other canoes by splashing them but htat backfired on us very quickly. Sedona who was in the middle of the of me and Lisa tipped the boat over! ugh I wasn't planning on getting wet. that was really fine though.

DAY 9!
It is day 9. Finally, today we had to wake up at 7 am. we went from waking up at 10 to 7 in a day. In this day we went to the river tchamicoke river. I know definite I spell that wrong. When we went there I had no idea on what we were doing. I did not know hat we were going to walk through the whole thing. After that we got jobs. Mine was to net the fish after someone shocks the fish. I didn't want to hurt the fish so I passed on being the shocker. Netting was fun, even though I got scared when a huge fish jumped up at me. But we had to take turns to be a shocker. It was finally my turn. Luckily I got saved by mike who was the one leading us, I knew we were doing a bad job, good thing he kept his cool and had patience with us. we went to this place where we had lunch and I didn't really eat anything because I was not hungry. I also really needed to go restroom. when we were almost don't with the job, then we found out we had to hike up a steep hill. it wasn't that bad. but most people were afraid of heights. Yikes, some were slow but people work at their own pace. we also went swimming.

day 7-day 8
Today is the last day at the Umatilla Indian reservation. I'm sort of sad that we are leaving her house because it reminded me of home. also her little daughter was so adorable. on the last day at her house we packed up, it did not take me that long to get ready but it took some 30 minutes. I got annoyed, well me and all the highschoolers because the other people were just sitting around or still making lunches and we were doing everything. After we got a new bus partners and mine was fun. It was probably the best because we all talker and we had good music. We stopped to get food and my Friend jay said I woke up looking all possessed. We could not stopped laughing about anything. Everything and anything was funny. we all just busted out laughing. I do not really know what to write so I'm combining Day 8. We finally arrived and me and my friend jay decided to not share a tent for this campground. It was fine I shared with Sidonia. It was fun. Then day 8 we relaxed. It was the most relaxing day of the trip so far. Jessica said we did not need to wake up until 10 am. I usually wake up late. But today I woke up at 5 am. Really? So I got up and sat at the table for awhile. Until I went back to bed. Then I woke up at 9am again from the heat. The heat was so hot. Well duh its the heat and the sun. I'm dumb sorry, even though schools far ways I'm still freaking out on next year because I lost some really close friends. That whole day anyway we just relaxed. This whole paragraph does not make sense, sorry. This is me signing off for right now. Later..

Day 6
Today we did mostly traveling. It was fine though because I got to sleep, but it was hard to sit or sleep because the people sitting next to me took up 1.5 seats. It was a three person seat and it was only three of us there was no reason why I only had half of my body on the chairs and the other falling out. I told them to scoot but they said they could not .Really? Maybe if you would not sit sideways and leaning back while your legs are spread out then maybe you could scoot over. But I lasted. We visited a hackle berry picking place and it was beautiful I did not know there were different species of huckle berry. She said on how the bushes were shorter then mount Adams it was nice. After that we traveled to go swimming but we did not. Because we only had 20 minutes to Swim and trust me it was not worth to swim for 10 minutes get out and dry up. But this heritage student was told to jump in. I didn't think she would take it literal but she actually jumped in. My friend Jay and I was standing in the shallow ends, guess where she jumped in at ? The shallow end she like cannon balled in and she slide. Everyone was laughing. I stopped after a while because it most likely hurt 100000/10. I asked her later on what her thought after she jumped. She stated " ah that was dumb, don't cry or scream because people are here". After that everyone was preparing for a mini feast. It felt good and tasted good to eat traditional food. We prayed and sang a song it ws nice. Some started to wushut. I was in the job with Jay to make frybread and I forgot how to make frybread because I have not done it since everything . I forgot how to do it. But they showed us a different way to make frybread. It was to do it in oil. I was up for it but you have to make sure you don't splatter it when you set down the dough in it. I met a new girl who a age older then me. I forgot her name but I got her snapchat. She really cool and funny. This is it for right now. see you later.

day 5
We arrived way later then expected because we were slow, slow because the trailer was slow. So we had to stay at the pace of the trailer. But on that day we volunteered at the nursery. I thought it was going to be super boring but it is actually not. The first thing we did was cut plants so we could regrow them after we planted tiny plants. I did not know what kind of plant it is. After that me and two other campers got asked to help them see if twin can hold the cones. Because the box had a sort of slippery texture. We all decided it would work so then all three of us put over 700 cones into that box. We put 13 cones in each row. I thought I was doing well, I thought everyone was doing well. were and we all got a "pat on the back" for a job well done. After doing that 1 box we all then went to the place where you pour out all of the dirt from the cones. Don't believe me but after while its tiring. We did about 300 cones of emptying the dirt out. One of my motivations is to have a little competitions and to see if I was faster. I was, just kidding we all went the same speed. But when I did it dirt flew everywhere. That was possibly the highlight of my day! It was hilarious but all the workers left us doing it alone but we certainly got the job done. The only bad thing about that is that I got super dark. Like dark brown, not black because some people need to learn the difference. But whenever i put on sunscreen I get dark by 4-6 shades. But when i don't wear sunscreen i only get 1-2 shades darker. When I was on the phone with my little sister Taylor I really missed her. It sounded weird because she was talking like a big kid. When ever I'm around her at home she acts like a brat. i asked my mom if my littler brothers troy and Odysseus missed me. she said troy misses me because he slept in my room. troy is a sweetheart, but he watches television all day. i wish he got out more, or my parents would get rid of the Internet. DO NOT though because i will miss getting online and watch YouTube all day and isolate myself from the world. its fun. my other brother "o" as we call him doesn't show emotions of missing me so my mom and dad don't know.at points I'm glad i left because i like getting out of the house, away from everything and everyone. other than volunteering today we also made Glass art work. it was fun, but I'm not really good at glass art because its glass. i made mount Adams with a sunset in the back ground. at the time didn't really know what to do so i did something basic.but maybe one day if i keep practicing i will get good at it.

The begining.
day one.
July/9/2017
Today I woke up exciting for the day has begun, although I was sad to leave my sibling when they were still sleeping I could not wait for the trip to begin. I have been freaking out because I did not think I was packed well enough. Under packed, where you did not pack enough things or was not prepared. whenever I travel I usually triple check everything but for this trip I put everything I thought li needed and what was on the checklist. Two weeks before this trip I came back from a young life camp in Antelope Oregon. So far that has been the highlight of my summer, but summers basically halfway. I am positive this trip will open up my eyes a bit more and provide me much experience of visiting other reservations among my own Yakama reservation. the only other reservation I have went to is Warms springs, Oregon. My friend Jayenell Lee who is also coming on the trip invited to email Ms. Trease and see what the trips about. when I asked what we would be doing I was really open to the new activates and what we would be doing. I really like the idea of new things. I am really adventures when it comes to new things like facing my fears of heights. I used to be terrified of jumping off cliffs, but now I hesitate a little but then I realize I can do anything and I will be most likely safe. most people get sick of traveling to much but it doesn't really affect me unless I am looking at a screen. So far there is a little bit of people and the heritage people are kind of worried and wondering where these people are. they are supposed to be here at 8:00 AM but its 8:49.
